Showcase of good practice 2020

Following the incredible amounts of work all departments have put in, this year we would like to celebrate and showcase good practice from across the country.

We would like to see applications covering work that has a focus on staff or quality in the Emergency Department highlighting how this work is transferable or can be replicated elsewhere. This should be focused on work that has happened this year (2020).

Emergency departments can submit up to three applications providing they cover different aspects of work.  

Judges will pick up to ten applicants who will go on to present at one the College’s fortnightly Clinical Leaders Zoom calls. Presenters can be as creative as they wish during their 10-minute slot. For example, some may choose to use PowerPoint presentations, pre-recorded videos or panel discussions.

Entrants will be required to

  • Provide a 300-word abstract summarising the work you want to showcase and how it is replicable.

The closing date for applications was Monday 21 September 2020 at 12:00 (BST). We are no longer accepting submissions.

Annual Awards for 2020


In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the College has taken the decision to postpone the 2020 Annual Awards to 2021.

Any submissions already made for the 2020 awards will be automatically re-submitted to the 2021 awards. Applicants will be given the option to change or update the submission should they wish to do so.
