Emergency Medicine Foundation Programme (EMFP)

This exciting new programme, set up with funding from Health Education England is the work of the International Education Sub-Committee. Project development is currently underway and we are now asking healthcare services in India and Pakistan to register their interest in joining the one-year pilot of the new curriculum, starting from August 2019.

There are some new publications available to help pilot sites get ready for the Emergency Medicine Foundation Programme (EMFP) start in 2019.
Further guidance will be published in January 2019.

Registration for the pilot

If you are interested in finding out more about this work please download the proposal form which details the planned work and complete and return the registration checklist. The deadline for registrations has been extended to Friday 21st December 2018. Further information can be found in the FAQs section.

The curriculum

We will be asking for feedback from registered parties on the draft curriculum from January 2019. This will be a one year modular curriculum that covers professional and clinical best practice, that is aimed at junior clinicians within 2-3 years of completing undergraduate training.
