Results of the June 2021 MRCEM OSCE
MRCEM OSCE candidates were notified during the week commencing 12 July that the publication of results had been delayed to permit further investigations following notification of a high number of misconduct allegations.
The results of candidates subject to a misconduct investigation have been withheld pending further investigation, as per the College’s Misconduct Policy for MRCEM and FRCEM Examinations. The College is now satisfied the scores of these candidates do not adversely impact the overall results.
In addition, due to connectivity issues experienced by two examiners during the course of the examination, it was necessary to record some OSCE stations for asynchronous marking which was completed by a senior examiner. The marking for these stations has been psychometrically analysed and no negative impact has been found. There was a strong correlation between the stations marked in real time during the OSCE circuit, with those marked asynchronously after the conclusion of the exam. The College is therefore satisfied that the marking of these stations did not adversely impact on the performance of any candidates.
