RCEM Wellbeing App
The Royal College of Emergency Medicine recently launched the RCEM Wellbeing App to provide Fellows and Members with the tools they need to measure, understand and improve their mental wellbeing.
The College is now pleased to be able to extend provision of the app to ED nurses (via collaboration with the RCN, further information can be found here) and to all other practitioners working in the ED free of charge. This includes:
- All current ED Doctors who are not currently RCEM Fellows or Members (e.g. Foundation trainees, Middle Grades, Clinical Fellows)
- All Nurse and Paramedic Practitioners (plus other allied health practitioners working in Urgent and Emergency Care i.e. Physio, Pharmacy practitioners)
- All Physician Associates and Advanced Clinical Practitioners
Clinical Leads for ED's across the UK have been asked to make all eligible staff aware so that they can be invited to use the app.
Dr Sunil Dasan, Chair of RCEM's Sustainable Working Practices Committee said –
'We want the RCEM Wellbeing App to be for everyone - for all frontline staff treating patients in the ED. Hence we have extended the free offer from RCEM members, to ED nurses and now to other ED Doctors, Practitioners and Physician Associates. Having access to the app will provide individuals with support and advice when they want it throughout these changing times.
We don't want anyone in the ED to miss out on having access to this amazing resource'
