In August 2016 the 2015 curriculum was updated to reflect the new examination structure which was accepted by the GMC and implemented in the same month. The full main curriculum can be downloaded below.

RCEM recognises current certification in the following courses as being equivalent to those mentioned in the curriculum and should be considered as such in evidence in the ARCP:
Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)
Advanced Paediatric Life Support (APLS)
- European Trauma Course (ETC)
Advanced Life Support (ALS)
- European Paediatric Life Support (EPLS); from 2016 European Paediatric Advanced Life Support (EPALS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Please note that the RCEM Training Standards Committee has agreed that EMST (Early Management of Severe Trauma) can be accepted for entry to ST4, but currently ATLS or ETC is required for exit.
