Virtual Scientific Conference

We are excited to announce our first Virtual Annual Scientific Conference! Call for Abstracts 
This year’s submission themes include Leadership and Management, COVID-19, Quality Improvement, Patient Safety, Trauma and MSK, Toxicology and Global EM. Opportunities include oral presentations and posters - submitted abstracts will be considered for the Rod Little Prize (open to EM trainees) and the Association of Paediatric Emergency Medicine’s Elizabeth Molyneux Prize (for paediatric research).
All presentations will be in digital format and posters will be displayed in our e-poster hall, more details in due course.

The College is excited to announce the launch of sponsorship options for delegates that are native of Middle income countries and Low income countries  (as defined by the World Bank).

How does it work?
A set number of free conference tickets have been made available for attendees that are native of low-income countries, in order to apply candidates must: 
Step 1:
Meet the eligibility criteria
You are pursuing career in EM. 
You are of a low-income country as defined by the World Bank.
You are practising / training EM in your native country.

Step 2:
Email confirming you meet the eligibility criteria alongside a cover letter from either your country national EM organisation or an international EM organisation (where appropriate), confirming you work in Emergency Medicine.
Deadline: please email no later than 21st August 2020 at 16.00 BST.

Directions to Octavia House - 54 Ayres Street, London, SE1 1EU.
By underground t
he closest stations are London Bridge and Borough, respectively on the Northern and Jubilee line and on the Northern line.

From London Bridge: this is a ten minute walk. When leaving London Bridge Station, use the Borough High Street exit and turn left as you leave the station. Continue down Borough High Street, past Ryman and Subway. Cross the road so that you are on the same side as The Slug and Lettuce, and take the right hand turning on to Union Street. Ayres Street is the second turning on the left, and the College is about halfway down on the left. 

From Borough: 
It's approximately a five minute walk. Exit Borough station on to Borough High Street (you will see Starbucks opposite) and turn left, then left again on to Marshalsea Road. You'll pass Joe's Kitchen and Coffee House on the left, and Munchies cafe on the right. Ayres Street is the fourth turning on the right, the College is about half way down the street on the right, just past the petrol station.

By Bus: 
the following buses stop on Borough High Street: 21, 35, 40, 133, 343. Please follow the instructions above for directions to the College.

By Car: 
the closest car park is Union Car Park on Southwark Street, between Southwark Bridge Road and O'Meara Street. This is a five minute walk from Octavia House. Turn left from the car park and walk down O'Meara Street. Turn right onto Union Street and then left onto Ayres Street.

Please note that parking in the area is limited and daily tariffs can be expensive, you might prefer to use public transport.
